Milky Way LA Restaurant

OUR STORY

Opened in 1977 by Bernie & Leah (Spielberg) Adler, The Milky Way is a storied, family-owned restaurant located in the heart of the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles. Our New American menu is a celebration of California’s bounty of fresh, seasonal produce and sustainably-sourced seafood, carefully selected and thoughtfully prepared. Guests can enjoy our hearty vegetarian, pescatarian and gluten-free dishes for Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch on our outdoor sidewalk area or in our cozy, intimate dining room.

Now under the ownership of the next generation of Spielbergs, The Milky Way continues to be a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, as well as a tribute to the family’s beloved mother Leah, warmly known as LeeLee. On any given evening, LeeLee could be found dancing through the dining room, greeting guests by name, topping off drinks and even gracing the crowd with a song or two on the piano. Her adventurous spirit and tireless sense of hospitality imbue everything from our décor to our menus to the way we treat our guests—as she would—like family.
